Position Summary:

Prescribes, coordinates and evaluates total nursing care of patients using established nursing practices in the pre-operative. Participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to establish and meet deadlines both department and job specific.
  • Must be conscientious, focused, productive and accurate.
  • Completes any and all tasks as assigned.
  • Maintains customer/patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Maintains a professional demeanor at all times.

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.  Require Missouri license and/or compact agreement State License.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of one year experience working with surgical and/or critical care type patients.  Previous peri-operative and/or critical nursing care preferred.   Arrhythmia training preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Possesses skills necessary to perform safely as evidenced by state certification or licensure. ACLS and PALS required.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be physically, mentally and emotionally able to meet the needs of this position.

Participates in patient and family teaching and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient care personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Primary location will be Same Day Surgery.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible and accountable for the quality care of patients assigned by utilizing the nursing process as defined in the Missouri Nurse Practice Act.  The LPN will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.  Demonstrates understanding of the unique physical and psychological needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information necessary to provide quality care.

 PRN:  Surgical/Sterile Processing Tech

Position Summary:

Assists in the nursing care and presentation of the surgical patient. Functions as a member of the sterile team in preparing for the intra-operative care, assisting the surgeon, and maintaining the sterile field. Also, may have the responsibility of cleaning and assembling the surgery instruments.

  • One year experience preferred working with surgical and/or critical care type patients.After completing orientation, employee can perform surgical cases independently
