Endoscopy Tech, FT – Posted 2/16/18

Responsibilities:

The Endoscopy Tech. assists in the nursing care and presentation of the Endoscopy patient. Functions as a member of the endoscopy team in preparing for the procedure.  Provides intra-procedural care, assisting the proceduralist under the direction of the RN Circulator and physician.  Is responsible for the cleaning and high-level disinfection of the endoscopes and other endoscopy equipment.
  • Complies with and enforces all department policies, procedures and standards related to aseptic technique.
  • Sets up tables, instruments, and supplies for specified procedures. Is prepared in a timely manner when setting up and is familiar with all types of equipment used in the endoscopy suite.
  • Assists in the preparation and positioning of patient while providing patient safety and dignity.
  • Assists with the procedure by anticipating the physician’s needs in passing instruments and supplies and is knowledgeable of endoscopy procedures and human anatomy.
  • Provides for the safety of the patient. Is very familiar with the operation of endoscopy equipment and is capable of troubleshooting as necessary. Serves as a resource person for assigned specialty.
  • Possesses good communication skills. Keeps circulator informed of essential information related to the procedure without disrupting the team focus on the patient.

Stress Lab RN, PRN – Posted 2/16/18

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Stress Lab RN will have a thorough understanding/knowledge of all Stress Lab equipment. Must have a comprehensive working knowledge of Cardiac Arrhythmia’s and advanced Cardiac Arrhythmia’s interpretation. The nurse will assess, prep, monitor, record procedural testing data, and initiate follow-up on all patient response to stress testing. Primary location will be Stress Lab. Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, or her proxie a Registered Nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for administering direct patient care and performing any other duties deemed necessary to provide optimal patient care and physician service under the direction and supervision of the RN or LPN.

Scheduling/Pre-Registration, PRN – Posted 11/10/17

Responsibilities:

  • Schedules procedures for Imaging and Surgery, following facility policies and procedures, to meet the needs of the patient and physician.  Assists in Pre-Registration, Imaging and Surgery ques, verifying orders, following the process pertaining to insurance verification and pre-certification and other duties assigned by the Scheduling Lead and Business Office Supervisor.  This position will work closely with the Imaging and Surgery Departments, as well as Insurance Verification/Pre-Certification.  Demographic and insurance entry and accuracy and scheduling promptness are vital to this position.  Other requirements include proper phone communication skills and effective communications with patient’s, physician offices, and other team department members.
